I spent most of yesterday taking in the beauty of both the art and the landscape of the di Rosa Preserve in Napa. Rene di Rosa, now in his 90's is a self proclaimed "art-a-holic", this art collection is the foremost collection of northern California art in the nation. Now in a nonprofit charitable trust, the preserve can be seen by appointment only. I had a 2 hour tour yesterday, and I know that I will be back!
I have posted some photographs that I took yesterday to share some of the wonder of the di Rosa story.
Enjoy!
Everything looks so wonderful. I wish I were there with you, although that might defeat the purpose of a sabbatical. I hope you are having a fabulous and productive time. Do you like my picture? Who knew Emmy was a swimmer? What is Toby doing on your sabbatical? Miss you,

Kelli,
ReplyDeleteThis is great...and I think I'm more European than I realize.
Looking at my many erratic palm lines and loving Chopin, I do believe in a past life I cleaned the music halls of Paris- in no hurry.
We just missed each other in CA. I got back the 30th after seeing an old friend in Portola Valley! Can you believe the weather?
You sound so inspired and I love what you've done.
Mary Oliver's poem resonates with me. Nature gives us so much, yet we must not just look, but truly see.
I love your picture of the beautiful, contented woman with the adorable baby!
Kelli, it's true we are both survivors, but also, in spite of it all... you'll always be younger. ha, enjoy!
Thank you for sharing...
Love,
Denny
